Sumner In the News

The Herald recently published an editorial about how Sumner should annex into East Pierce Fire and Rescue.


The author believes that the savings to the city budget and the potential for better training and equipment access would outweigh any negative affects of handing over control of the city's fire department.


What are your thoughts? Would handing over control result in a lessening of service or would it provide us with better trained personnel?
